WQED’s 2014 Emmy Nominations Party
The Place: Tuesday night at the Fred Rogers Studio in WQED in Oakland.
The Party: Anticipation was in the air as guests mingled before the announcements of who would be nominated for this year’s Emmys by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Mid-Atlantic Chapter. “I’ve been in the culinary world for over 40 years, and it was such a joy to be able to share recipes and party planning ideas with the WQED audience,” said nominee Bob Sendall of WQED’s “Cooking With Sendall Style.” Producer Jill Neely added: “Bob has such a unique style, has cooked for celebrities and presidents, and we thought it would be fun and educational to bring his techniques to life on this show.”
The People: Darryl Ford Williams chatted with Debra Caplan about WQED’s fall line-up, including a special, “Closing the Gap,” hosted by Sharon Epperson about the pay gap between men and women. Michael Bartley was #seen with Tonia Caruso, and Rick Sebak posed for pictures with Modern Cafe’s Irene Zotis and Constance Zotis.
